Custom Chipboard Product Box and Custom Printed Bottles

Halcyon Botanics is a line of doctor-formulated skincare products that combine premium quality CBD with pure botanicals. Such meticulously crafted products needed to pair with uniquely premium packaging.

At Peek Packaging, we not only created the secondary packaging for Halcyon Botanics but also produced the best printing solution for their high-end glass bottles. The goal was to create an aesthetic that complimented and showed off the clear frosted glass which displayed their product beautifully. Rather than covering the bottle with a label, we used the method of screen printing directly onto the glass with UV inks. This effect produced an elegant contrast on the frosted glass, alluding to the natural beauty of the product itself. The glass bottles are not only premium in look, but in feel as well as they are made from a dense glass.

Our focus was to create structurally sound packaging that also elevated the brand’s shelf presence. We specifically chose a 28pt SBS for the box; the more robust chipboard caliper helps prevent any wear and tear to the packaging when it is in transit. Because of the short height of the bottle, we engineered a false top and bottom within the interior structure of the box. The increase of the overall height of the packaging provides several benefits. The false top and bottom create more structural support and shock absorption for the product, while the increased size of the box provided more real estate for their brand, creating a unique and memorable box opening experience.

The solidity of the structure of the boxes is balanced with simple yet luxurious design elements. The boxes are flood coated with natural greens accompanied with gold foil stamping on the company name and product information. Because of the flood coat of ink and foil stamp, rather than using the standard soft-touch coating, we finished the packaging with a soft touch lamination over the entire box. Not only does this create a softer feel to the box, but it also provides an additional layer of protection repelling dirt and fingerprints. The combination of calming shades of green, hints of gold, and a soft-touch finish make for a box that nods to the packaging and design community while intriguing customers to experience this “Wellness Beyond Beauty.”
